National Shooting Coach Suspended Amid Serious Allegations

Indian shooting has been rocked by controversy after national shooting coach Ankush Bharadwaj was suspended following serious allegations made by a 17-year-old national-level shooter. The matter is currently under investigation, and authorities have initiated legal proceedings.

According to reports, an FIR has been registered by Haryana Police based on a complaint filed by the minor athlete and her family. The complaint alleges inappropriate conduct during a stay at a hotel in Faridabad, where a shooting competition was being held. In response to the allegations, the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) has suspended Ankush Bharadwaj from all coaching responsibilities with immediate effect. Officials stated that the suspension will remain in force until the investigation is completed and clarity emerges.

Police officials have confirmed that evidence is being collected, including witness statements and technical inputs, to ensure a fair and thorough probe. The sports fraternity has expressed concern over the incident, calling for strict action if the allegations are proven.
