Raga News Zone | Bihar Desk
In a shocking case of cyber fraud, the Nawada Cyber Police in Bihar have busted a racket that conned men by promising ₹10 lakh to those who could impregnate childless women. The unusual scheme, circulated online, drew several victims before authorities intervened.
Police said the gang operated under multiple fake names such as “All India Pregnant Job Service” and “Playboy Service”, posting ads on Facebook, WhatsApp, and other social media platforms. Men were promised huge cash rewards, including partial payments even if they failed to fulfill the claim.
How the Scam Worked
Victims were asked to provide personal documents, including Aadhaar and PAN cards, selfies, and pay fees for fake hotel bookings or other services. Believing the offer to be legitimate, several men handed over money, only to realise later they had been deceived. Some victims reportedly lost their life savings before discovering the fraud.
Arrests and Evidence
The accused, identified as Ranjan Kumar, has been arrested, and a minor involved in the case has been taken into custody. Police recovered four mobile phones used to run the fraudulent operations. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the IPC and the Information Technology Act. Authorities said similar scams had been reported in the district before.
Police Advisory
The Nawada Police have urged the public to be cautious of online schemes promising unrealistic earnings and warned against sharing personal information with unknown sources. Citizens are advised to report suspicious activity immediately to prevent further exploitation.
