India Rejects China’s Claims on India-Pakistan Truce

Raga News Zone | International Desk

India has firmly rejected China’s recent claims that it played a role in mediating tensions between India and Pakistan during the May 2025 military standoff. The Indian government reiterated that all discussions and de-escalation measures were conducted bilaterally between the two countries’ military leadership, with no external intervention.

Chinese officials had stated that Beijing contributed to peace efforts in South Asia, including India-Pakistan relations, echoing earlier claims made by former U.S. President Donald Trump. India, however, maintains that the resolution of the conflict was achieved through direct communication between the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of both nations.

A government spokesperson emphasized that India does not seek or accept third-party mediation in matters concerning its national security. New Delhi has consistently maintained that its disputes with Pakistan are strictly bilateral, and any external claims are unfounded.

Analysts note that China’s statement may be aimed at projecting itself as a global peacemaker, but India’s firm rejection underscores its policy of handling regional security issues independently.
