A footwear store owner was brutally killed by two masked robbers near his house in Model Gram here on Monday night. The robbers attacked the store owner, Manjit Singh, repeatedly on his back, leaving him serious injured. They snatched a bag containing cash from him and fled the spot on their scooter. The robbers have been captured on CCTV cameras installed in the area. On hearing the cries, area residents reached the spot and took Singh to the DMC Hospital where he succumbed. Deceased’s kin said Singh owned a footwear shop in Karimpura here. The police have started investigation to identify the robbers.
