Updates in real time for the congressional budget session of 2023: The Budget Bill is approved by the Rajya Sabha amid yells of "Modi Adani bhai, bhai. Rajya Sabha Tuesday passed and returned the Finance Bill to the Lok Sabha, amid slogans of ‘Modi, Adani bhai, bhai’ by the Opposition. The House was earlier adjourned till 11 am, after the Opposition continued its uproar over various issues, including Rahul Gandhi’s disqualification and the Adani issue. Earlier in the day, Congress MPs hurled papers at the Chair, Lok Sabha adjourned seconds after it commenced, till 4 pm on Monday. The INC leaders led a march to Vijay Chowk after the adjournments, where Rajya Sabha LoP Mallikarjun Kharge launched another verbal attack on Prime Minster Modi, and asked “Why is the PM scared of a JPC on the Adani issue?” On Monday, Congress MPs appeared in black in Parliament to protest against various issues, which have led to a logjam between the ruling and Opposition parties, including Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s disqualification from Lok Sabha and the allegations against the Adani Group. In Rajya Sabha, the MPs targetted Prime Minister Narendra Modi, by shouting slogans like, “Modi-Adani bhai, bhai”. Earlier in the day, Congress MPs, including senior leader Sonia Gandhi, met in party chief Mallikarjun Kharge’s chambers.
