The Delhi budget will be presented in the state assembly on Wednesday, a day after it was approved by the ministry of home affairs, which had asked the Kejriwal administration to resubmit the budget due to clarifications. The Delhi budget is being presented by finance minister Kailash Gahlot in the Delhi assembly on Wednesday. This comes a day after the ministry of home affairs (MHA) approved the Delhi government’s budget, a day after ‘stalling’ it, as alleged by the Arvind Kejriwal government. MHA had asked the National Capital government to resubmit the budget over clarifications regarding allocation of funds for infrastructure and advertisements. Amid the fresh flashpoint between the Centre and the Delhi government, chief minister Kejriwal Tuesday had written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, requesting him not to stop the city government’s budget. The budget requires approval from the President through the Union home ministry.
